Where is the Central Mining Research Center located in India?

The Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research is located in Dhanbad, Jharkhand. It is an integrated laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research of India. It is dedicated to provide investment related to research and development to the entire coal energy chain from mining to consumption.

CIMFR (Central Mining and Fuel Research Institute) was formed after the integration of CFRI (Central Fuel Research Institute) and CMRI (Central Mining Research Institute). The institute has units at Ranchi, Bilaspur (Madhya Pradesh), Nagpur and Roorkee.
